everyone knows the feeling: you’re already in bed and forgot to turn off the ceiling light.
no problem with Shelly Dimmer 2 and an Amazon-enabled Alexa device.
Behind the existing light switch (which of course remains in place and still functions as a “normal” light switch), simply install a Shelly Dimmer 2.
Thanks to its compact design, it easily fits into the flush-mounted box of the existing light switch.
Install the electrical wiring according to the instructions (by a professional) and set up the Shelly Dimmer via the app,
can already control and dim the light via the app (and the “old” light switch continues to work as usual)

Anyone who now links their Shelly account with the Amazon Alexa solution
can conveniently control the light in their bedroom using their own voice
“Alexa, turn off the light in the bedroom”
or for romantic moments “Alexa, dim the light to 30 percent”

What do you need for this project?
- an electric screwdriver
- a voltage tester (better safe than sorry)
- a Shelly Dimmer 2
